Are You In Transition?

Today’s reflection on #50daysto50 is about being in transition. If you missed any of the other reflections along this theme, you can go to wendytwine.com/50daysto50.
Progress with changeToday as I have been pondering where I am in life and those of my family and friends I see on my Facebook feed; I see transition. Many I see at this time of year including my own grandson is either transitioning from one grade into another (kindergarten to first grade) to those who are graduating from high school or college and entering into a whole new phase of life.

I am seeing babies being born and people getting married. Each are entering one phase of life and into another.

Transition

It’s like when a woman is pregnant and she is about to deliver her baby, we call it the transitional period if she is having consistent contractions. Her body is preparing to give birth to new life but she is in great pain to deliver this new life.

Many of us are in pain right now, not because of heartache like we have talked before but because of the vision God has put in your heart and all you can think about is will I ever get through this pain and see the “bundle of joy” I have been waiting for.

Or, like a person who has been laboring over numerouse courses, homework, tests for weeks, like weeks of pregnancy, pushing through for the awaited degree that they long for.

Bundle of Joy

It is bittersweet when you have birthed that “bundle of joy” called your vision or produced that “bundle of joy” called a degree, etc… whatever it is you are in transition, remember to give God thanksgiving and praise because it is he who has given you the power, ability, and strength to persevere and not give up.

Remember

If you haven’t delivered yet, don’t give up, keep pushing until you have seen your awaited “bundle of joy”. I want to leave you with these words: “Don’t grow weary in well doing, but in due season you will reap the harvest if you faint not”. Galatians 6:9. God said, For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.
